Sister Mary Augustine Nemer

Sister Mary Augustine Nemer, also known as Adele Rose Nemer, passed peacefully on June 16, 2026 surrounded by her loving niece Megan and religious sisters at the age of 87. Loving daughter of the late Ferris and Sara (Joseph) Nemer. Cherished sister of the late Mary Catherine (Kitty) Clemens Rotar, Jeanette (Jeannie) Featsent, Elizabeth (Betsy) Featsent, Barbara (Bobbe) Scharrer, and Theresa (Terry) Khoury. She is survived by Tony Khoury, brother-in-law and many loving nieces and nephews.

Sr. Augustine was a devoted member of the Daughters of St. Paul Religious Community for 68 years and leaves behind many friends especially her religious sisters. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening, June 25, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Daughters of St Paul Chapel 50 Saint Paul's Ave Jamaica Plain followed by a vigil service starting at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday June 26 at 10:30 at the chapel. Interment at the Daughters of St Paul Mausoleum, relatives and friends invited. Please in lieu of flowers all donations in Sister Mary Augustine’s memory can be to the Daughters of St Paul infirmary fund 50 Saint Paul's Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
