Richard "Rick" Bottiglieri, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Braintree, MA, on June 28, 2024. Born in Boston on February 21, 1960, to the late Sebastian and Lucy Bottiglieri, Rick's zest for life and love for his family defined his 64 years.
A proud graduate of Braintree High School's class of 1978, Rick's passion for automobiles steered his career as an auto mechanic. He dedicated his life to working on cars at a local auto repair shop, where his expertise and creativity earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike.
Rick's heart was fullest when surrounded by his beloved family. He was the loving husband of Page R. (MacDonald) for 41 years, a union that was a testament to unwavering devotion and partnership. Rick was a devoted father to Jessica, Nicholas, Danielle Coote and her husband William, Kaylah, and he held the memory of his late daughter Nicole close to his heart. His role as "Papa" to Jay, Brooklynn, and William Jr. brought him immeasurable joy, as he imparted wisdom and laughter in equal measure.
Rick's caring nature extended to his siblings. He was a cherished brother to Stephen Bottiglieri and his wife Sandy, Paul Bottiglieri and his wife Terri, and he lovingly remembered his late brother Phillip. His life was further enriched by the love of many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who will miss his generous spirit dearly.
Beyond his professional life, Rick's interests were a reflection of his creative and generous soul. An avid lover of cars, he collected die-cast models, amassing an impressive array of every model he could find, which he displayed with pride. His love for the game of golf was only matched by the joy he found in spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
Rick's simplest pleasures often held the deepest meaning. He cherished the tradition of enjoying ice cream at the beach with his wife, Page, as they watched the sunset together. These moments, filled with beauty and serenity, were a true expression of Rick's appreciation for life's gifts.
Described by those who knew him as creative, generous, and loving, Rick's legacy is one of kindness and inspiration. He was a man who always put others before himself, a "giver" in every sense of the word. His warm smile and open heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rick's life was a journey marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories that will be cherished by all who were touched by his presence. As we say goodbye to Richard "Rick" Bottiglieri, we celebrate a life well-lived and honor the enduring impact he made on the world around him. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will forever be a beacon of love and generosity.
