Visiting hours will be held Saturday (December 21) from 11-12 at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park followed by a service at the funeral home starting at 12:00 PM, relatives and friends invited.
Paulette P. Grey, aged 67, passed away while on vacation in Clarendon, Jamaica, on November 9, 2024. Born on April 6, 1957, on King Street in Kingston, Jamaica, Paulette radiated joy and love throughout her life.
Paulette, the beloved daughter of Annie Wright and the late Paul Grey, lived a life marked by devotion to her family. She was a dedicated mother to Keon Grey and his wife Tanisha of Worcester, and to Alicia Grey of Hyde Park. Her role as the cherished sister of Mesha McClean was held close to her heart. Paulette's love knew no bounds, particularly for her grandson, Eason Grey, whom she adored as her special "Boo Boo." She was an integral part of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
After moving to Boston in her teens, Paulette continued her education at a vocational school, forging a path that would see her becoming an integral part of several companies in her professional career. She spent significant time in Mattapan and Hyde Park, Massachusetts, where she made countless friendships and impacted many lives.
In her work, Paulette demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and a knack for leadership. She spent over a decade as a technician at Sweethearts Plastics in the engineering department, crafting various plastics with precision and care. Later, she went on to S.E.A. (Science Engineering Architecture), where she excelled as an administrative assistant and office manager for more than ten years. Her professional journey also included managing a team at Sears for over a decade. Paulette concluded her career as a customer service representative at TJ Max, retiring after more than fifteen years of dedicated service.
Paulette's interests were as vibrant as her personality. She had a green thumb, spending joyful hours tending to her garden and taking pride in her yard. Her home was a testament to her eye for decor, welcoming all who entered with its beauty and warmth. She relished the role of host during the holidays and end-of-summer cookouts, where her baking skills shone brightly. Her love for games and cards was only matched by the joy of spending time with her grandson, a bond that was truly special.
Community was everything to Paulette, and she was regarded as the cornerstone of her extensive family. With a plethora of cousins, to whom she was incredibly close, and a circle of friends who cherished her presence, Paulette was also honored to be a Godmother to many. Her love of music led her to sing and dance, a passion that brought life to any gathering.
Described by those who knew her best as loving, kind, and friendly, Paulette's character was the epitome of warmth and generosity. Her laughter and joyous spirit were infectious, creating an atmosphere where everyone felt welcome and loved.
