Paul V. DeRosa, of Wrentham, age 80, died peacefully on October 27, 2022. Born in Boston, MA on January, 22, 1942, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Mary P. (Ahearn). Paul was a retired Dedham Police officer, Merchant Marine and served our country in the U.S. Army. He attended The Newman School in Boston, graduated from Hyde Park High School and received a degree from Northeastern University.
Paul had a love for the outdoors and his log home. He enjoyed spending his time with his friends when he was younger camping, hunting, fishing, going to the gun club along with regular card games. He was a great storyteller and loved sharing those stories to anyone who would listen. As he got older, watching old western movies, listening to his Irish music and making roasted turkey and roast beef dinners was a favorite pastime. He spent a lot of time in his yard, enjoying nature with his dogs by his side and doing small carpentry projects around the house. He loved practical jokes and Halloween was especially fun for him every year.
Paul is survived by his children, Shawn DeRosa, Nicole DeRosa Doherty, her husband Todd and their children Siena and Chase, Christopher DeRosa, his wife Maria, their children Nicola and Enzo, Stepdaughter, Karen Petroni and her son Rocco. Also survived by his brothers and sisters; Ann Marie Curran of Hyde Park, Donna Rivoire of Annandale, VA, James F. and his wife Susan of Hanover, Patricia G. Lydon of Norwell, Robert T. of Boston, along with many loved nieces, nephews and close friends.
