Nicholas P. Hahalis of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on January 27, 2025 at the age of 75.
Nicholas was born in Athens, Greece to Panagiotis and Maria (Malalexi) Hahalis. In 1967, he came to the United States with his parents and two older sisters. Settling in Boston, Massachusetts he attended school and enlisted in the United States Army. Nicholas served honorably in the United States Army for twelve years.
Nicholas was the beloved husband of Marie (Moussa). Father of Maria Letzerich and her husband Neville of Austin, Texas. Stepfather of Rita Homsi and her husband Elie, Abdel Jalil Dandal and his wife Ghada, and Carol Honein and her husband Joe.
Cherished brother of the late Kyriacoula Vidalis and her surviving husband Gabriel and Christina Palioglou of West Roxbury. Uncle of Eleni, Maria and Demetrios Vidalis and Chris Palioglou. He is also survived by eight great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends both here and in Greece.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church (39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale) on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, relatives and friends invited.
In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to the "Kyriacoula Vidalis Memorial Scholarship Fund" with check made payable to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox (15 Union Park Street, Boston).
