Mary A. (Kaminski) Curtin, a beacon of love and the matriarch of her cherished family, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 9, 1941, in Boston, Massachusetts, Mary lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

After graduating from Hyde Park High School, Mary embraced her role as a homemaker with a passion that was evident in the warmth and comfort of her family home. She married the love of her life, James D. Curtin, in 1967, and together they built a life filled with joy and lasting memories until his passing in 2017. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, and their legacy continued through their children and grandchildren.

Mary was the devoted mother to Laurie Logue and her husband Stephen, Christine Harold and her husband James, and the late Brian Curtin, whose wife Michelle remained a beloved member of the family. Her role as Grandma to Jimmy Jr., Stephen, Katelyn, Hailey, and Brendan was one of her greatest joys. Mary's presence at their sports events, theater performances, and every significant milestone was unwavering. She was the loving heart and steadfast support at the center of her grandchildren's lives.

Mary's interests and activities brought her great happiness and fostered a sense of community. After her husband's passing, she immersed herself in the social life of Hyde Park's senior groups. Whether she was striking down pins at the bowling alley, calling out numbers at bingo, or sharing stories on travels with her senior friends, Mary's zest for life was contagious. Her love for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms that adorned her yard each season, and her culinary skills made holiday gatherings a feast for the senses. Mary was a natural hostess, always ready to entertain and welcome friends into her home with open arms.

Her selfless nature extended beyond her family. Mary's kindness touched many lives, and her willingness to help others was a hallmark of her character. Her love knew no bounds, and her absence will be deeply felt by the many relatives and friends who survive her.

Mary's life was a tapestry of love, kindness, and selfless devotion to those she held dear. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide her family, and the memories they shared will be cherished forever. As we say goodbye to Mary A. Curtin, we celebrate the extraordinary woman she was and the countless ways she enriched our lives. Her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
