Mario Evans Jr, known for his vivacious spirit and infectious smile, left this world too soon on November 2nd, 2024. His legacy, however, lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and especially those whose lives he’s touched and saved.

Born in Boston, MA, on August 30, 2008, to proud parents Jane Pierre-Evans and Mario Evans Sr.

Mario Jr was a beacon of love and joy. He brought life and energy to his family and friends. Mario’s absence left an unexplainable void but we place it in the righteous hands of the lord our savior.

He was a cherished brother to Jamari, Micahi, and Sekani, and a beloved grandson to Lesly Pierre, Lhory Torchon-Pierre, John Evans, and Sheron Dixon - Evans.

Mario was surrounded by love from all sides. He leaves behind a family that will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

At the time of his passing, Mario was a junior at Match Charter Public High School in Boston, where his kindness and warmth made a lasting impression on peers and teachers. Though Mario was Autistic, he never let this define him. Instead, he embraced life with an unparalleled zeal that inspired all those around him. He was a young man who loved with his whole heart and always made joy the center piece of his everyday life.

He adored Super Mario Brothers, an interest that echoed his own name and vibrant personality. Halloween was one of his favorite times of year, when he reveled in the costumes and festive spirit. His love of music could be heard in the rhythm of his skateboard wheels as he glided effortlessly through the streets—a free spirity in motion. Mario’s laughter was a constant melody in the lives of those lucky enough to know him, and he found joy in the simplest of pleasures: the tangy sweetness of Airheads, Skittles, and Starburst, or the savory slices of pizza he so often craved.

Mario’s favorite meal was white rice with black bean sauce and legume, a delicious reminder of his Haitian heritage. In his leisure time, he loved soaring high on the trampoline or diving into the pool, his boundless energy a reminder to celebrate the present moment. His smile, always present and radiating warmth, lit up rooms and hearts alike.

In his final, selfless act, Mario donated his heart, liver, and two kidneys, giving the gift of life to four individuals in desperate need. Through this incredible gesture, Mario’s loving, kind, and funny spirit will continue to resonate with others for years to come.

Though his story was tragically brief, Mario’s impact on the world was profound. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience the light he brought into their lives.

Today, as we bid farewell to Mario Evans, we celebrate a young man whose presence could brighten any room, whose laughter was a melody of pure happiness, and whose generous spirit transcended his own life. Mario’s journey on this earth may have been short, but it was a comet’s blaze—brilliant, unforgettable, and deeply loved.

He will be dearly missed, but his legacy of kindness, joy, and love will live on in the countless hearts he touched.
