Marie T. (Quirk) Cheney

Marie T. Cheney of Sagamore Beach passed peacefully on July 27 at the age of 94.  Beloved wife of the late Frederick C. Cheney of 60 years.  Devoted mother of Michael C. Cheney of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph M. Cheney and his wife Maggie of Duxbury, and Elizabeth M. Cheney of Sagamore Beach.  Loving "Meme" Emily, Annie, Benjamin, Jessica, and the late Nikki.  Also survived by many relatives and close friends.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11:00 at St Margarets Church 141 Main Street Buzzards Bay.  Interment at The National Cemetery in Bourne.  Relatives and friends invited.  Marie graduated from Bridgewater State College and continued her education getting her Masters Degree at Boston University.  She was a devoted teacher and advocate for special needs.  Marie was a kind and caring woman who's greatest joy was the love she had for all her grandchildren.  Marie will be greatly missed.
