Linda Delaney, a spirited and selfless soul who graced this world with her presence, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 19, 2025. Born on April 25, 1946, in Boston, MA, Linda was a true beacon of strength and courage throughout her life.

A cherished daughter of the late Joseph Richard and Mary Edna (McKenna) Williams, Linda carried the legacy of her parents' love and resilience. Educated at Hyde Park High School, she graduated with the class of 1964 and soon embarked on the most challenging and rewarding journey of her life – motherhood. Linda was an exemplary homemaker who, after starting her family just a year after high school, dedicated her life to raising her children: Linda, Debi, Paul, Terre, and the late Shara. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Mohamed Mokdad and Luisa Delaney.

Linda's life was a testament to her unwavering strength and independence. As a single mother, she raised her children with unparalleled devotion, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure they had everything they required. Her children stood as the center of her universe, and she stood by them with an unfailing presence that only a mother of her caliber could offer.

Beyond her role as a mother, Linda's interests painted the picture of a woman who embraced life's simple pleasures. A lifelong resident of Boston, she found joy in traveling, losing herself in the pages of a good book, and tending to her beloved flowers. Her love for her garden was only surpassed by the love she had for her family.

Those who knew Linda admired her for her courage and selflessness. She faced life's challenges head-on, never wavering in her determination to provide for her family and to live life on her own terms. Her spirit was infectious, and her ability to give so freely of herself made her a pillar in her community and an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

As we bid farewell to Linda Delaney, we celebrate the remarkable life she led. Her legacy is etched in the hearts of her family, who will continue to honor her memory by embodying the values she so deeply instilled in them. Linda's story does not end with her passing but continues through the lives of her children and all those she touched with her incredible spirit. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever bloom like the flowers she so lovingly nurtured.
