Kathleen Mary (Altobelli) Amico

Kathleen Mary (Altobelli) Amico of Hyde Park, formerly of Leominster, peacefully passed away on January 20, 2025, after a long illness, at the age of 76. Kathy was the cherished partner and sous-chef of Paul Mastrangelo of Hyde Park for 45 years. She was a devoted bonus mother to David Mastrangelo of Quincy, Debra DiMascio and her husband Domenic of Carlisle, and Diane Mastrangelo of Westwood. She was predeceased by her parents, Basil S. and Eleanor M. Altobelli of Leominster, and by her siblings, Elizabeth Duddridge of Marlboro, and Douglas Altobelli of Leominster. Kathy is survived by her sister, Paula Burgess of Westminster, as well as her grandchildren: Aaron Mastrangelo, James Mastrangelo, Eric and Jayna DiMascio, her nephew Scott Duddridge, and niece Leona Burgess.

Kathy had a distinguished career as a graphic designer, serving as a general partner of Union Printworks in Hyde Park since 1995. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University and a juris doctor from American University. Her passions included enjoying the beauty of flowers, avidly watching the weather, gardening, writing, giving back to her community, watching football, following politics, and experimenting with new recipes alongside Paul and her extended family.

In accordance with Kathy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services or gatherings. We invite you to celebrate Kathy’s memory in your own way while honoring her legacy of kindness, community service, and love for life. We take comfort in knowing she will remain with us all in spirit.
