COUNCIL, (Judy) Judith Ann Cecelia passed away May 31st with close family members surrounding her at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. She was 80 years young. Born and raised in Woburn, MA, July 6, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Artus and Margaret (West) Council and lived a bodacious life filled with courage, humor, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She was very protective of her sisters and cousins growing up! Judy was a proud graduate of Woburn High School, Woburn, MA. She was well known and liked with her friends growing up in Woburn, especially for their weekends together. She was the first among her peers to own a Hi-FI stereo system and Montvale Ave. would rock with sounds of Motown and the like!
Her love of music and recording artists led Judy to move Los Angeles in the Hollywood area in 1975. She fulfilled her childhood dream of meeting and working with many film and recording stars. Michael Damien of the Young and the Restless was one of the first people she met and became good friends with when she arrived in California Judy helped with organizing and sorting the thousands of fan letters Michael received , for years playing on the Young and the Restless. Judy loved the entertainment world and thrived in it. She worked in the marketing industry up until her retirement. When her health began to decline, Judy returned back to Boston in September 2025 wanting to be near her family. She would start her day reading the “Good News” Bible and praying for everyone even those she didn’t know from the morning news. Her evenings were spent talking with her West coast friends and reminiscing about their hey days.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Patricia A. Council.
