Joseph G. McAllister

McAllister Joseph G. of Hyde Park, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 8 at the age of 93.  Beloved husband of the late Joan (Whelan) of 66 years.  Son of the late James (BPD) and Delia (Mitchell) McAllister.  Devoted father of Michael P. and his wife Therese of Towson MD, Kathleen Falcone and her husband Louis of Stoughton, James W. and his wife Susan of Easton, Joseph G. and his wife Diane of Hingham, and William R. of Hyde Park.  Cherished brother of Margaret "Peggy" Donohoe of Scituate, and the late James "Jay", Mary Sullivan, William, Joanie Lynch, John "Jack", and Patricia "Patsy" McAllister.  Loving "Papa" of 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, and friends.  Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park Wednesday morning at 9:30 followed by a mass of christian burial at Most Precious Blood Church Hyde Park at 10:30.  Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.  Internment at St. Josephs Cemetery West Roxbury, relatives and friends invited.  Joe was a longtime beloved teacher at the Walpole Public Schools, a dedicated US Navy Veteran, and a lifelong proud Hyde Park resident.
