Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning following the visiting hours at 11:00 am at Most Precious Blood Church across from the funeral home. Interment will be held at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, relatives and friends invited.
John Campedelli, age 89, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in Jamaica Plain.
John was born on November 1, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Luigi and Cecilia Campedelli. He lived a long and meaningful life rooted in family, faith, and quiet devotion to the people he loved. He was a loving son, brother, and friend. John graduated from high school and later earned his bachelor’s degree, He went on to work in business management and also worked with his brothers for their cleaning company.
Faith was central to John’s life. He was a devoted Catholic and a Christian whose beliefs guided the way he lived each day.
John also treasured time spent traveling, especially when he could visit Italy. These trips held special meaning for him and reflected his appreciation for his heritage, culture, and the beauty of the places that connected him to his roots.
One of John’s most admirable roles was that of caretaker for his parents during their later years. He gave them his time, attention, and love with devotion and grace. His care for Luigi and Cecilia was a true expression of his character, and it stood as a testament to the depth of his loyalty and love for them.
John is survived by his brother, Joseph Campedelli of Cohasset. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Francis Campedelli, William Campedelli, Angela Savage, and Enes Taglieri. He leaves behind extended family members and many others who will cherish his memory.
