James J. Walsh Jr. of Hyde Park passed peacefully on November 2 at the age of 90. Son of the late James J. Sr. and Marie A. (Belisle) Walsh. Cherished father of Carolanne Washburn of Merrimack, NH and James A. Washburn of New Gloucester, MA. Loving grandfather of Dylan and Owen Washburn.Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (NOV. 14) from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Church Hyde Park at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Josephs Cemetery in Taunton, relatives and friends invited.
James was a former employee of the AEC-EGG Senior Nuclear Diagnostic Institution at the Los Almos Nevada Test Site and a retired Commonwealth of Massachusetts Chief Court Officer for over 25 years. He was a member of the VFW Jacob Jones Post #2017 in Dedham, past Commander of the West Roxbury Post #2902, a member of the Cecil Fogg Roberts Post #78 in Hyde Park and a member of the DAV Chapter 3 in West Roxbury. James was a proud Korean War Army Veteran.
