Helen (Aprea) DiFava

Helen DiFava (Aprea) of Roslindale, passed peacefully on May17,2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 102.  Beloved wife of the late Alfineo A. DiFava.  Devoted mother of John DiFava (Former Colonel/ Superintendent of the Mass State Police), current Chief of the MIT Police Department of Roslindale.  Cherished sister of Saverio Aprea of Holbrook and the late Rose Grasso, Viola Marzullo, Ida Lombardi, Anna Cursio, and Michael Aprea.  Loving "Grand Ma" of John and Rachele.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.  Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park Wednesday morning at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Church at 10:30.  Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 4-7PM at the funeral home.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery Hyde Park, relatives and friends invited.
