George Nedder Obituary

George S. Nedder of Hyde Park, MA and Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024 at the age of 72. Son of the late George T. and Helen (Boulis) Nedder. Devoted brother of Paula Nedder and her husband Thomas Guardabascio, Patricia Nedder, and Carol Nedder-LoConto and her husband Andy LoConto. Also survived by cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.

A lifelong resident of Readville, MA until a recent move to Florida. George was affectionately referred to as “Gigi” and “Big Daddy.”  Beyond his professional accomplishments from working at the family garage at an early age, running the Club Max nightclub in Boston, the Rosina restaurant in the North End, service manager of several car dealerships and a finance entrepreneur, George’s interests and hobbies reflected his vivacious and engaging personality. He loved music, anything historical, action movies, a culinary wizard whose gatherings with family and friends were legendary, and a car expert who could diagnose a car issue with just a short explanation. He was well read, could do the NYT crosswords in ink, could talk about just about any subject and was a jack of many trades.

George's life was evidence to his intelligence, his loving nature and kindness that touched the lives of everyone he knew. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyalty. His ability to light up a room with his presence and to lift the spirits of those around him was truly amazing. He will be remembered for the joyfulness he brought to others, the lives he touched, and the permanent mark he left on the world. He lived life with a generous heart.

As we say goodbye to George, we celebrate a life lived with passion. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who were fortunate enough to know him. George’s spirit will live on through the stories shared, the laughter he ignited, and the profound impact he had on all who crossed his path.
