Emelio Remondi Obituary

Emelio W. Remondi, a loving and kind-hearted man, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023, in Hyde Park, MA, due to complications from COPD. Born on December 18, 1934, in Boston, MA, Emelio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many with his warm presence and handy skills.

Emelio is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine (Ferullo) Remondi, with whom he shared nearly 64 years. He was a proud and loving father to his three daughters: Theresa Ford and her husband Jerry, Karen Remondi-Boncek and her husband James, and Kimberly Remondi. Emelio was also a dear brother to Vera Edwards and Bernadette Baronas, and was predeceased by his siblings Cecilia Sturgeon, Elizabeth Fox, Louise Couch, Lorraine Anderson, and Edward Remondi. Known affectionately as "Papa," Emelio was a doting grandfather to Nina Thornton and Nicole Papirio, and a great-grandfather to Isabella Papirio. He will be deeply missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

A proud graduate of Hyde Park High School, Emelio continued his education at the Franklin Institute of Technology. He went on to have a successful career as a truck mechanic for Ryder Trucking, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and expertise. Emelio's handy skills extended beyond his professional life, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends in need.

Emelio's interests were diverse, and he found joy in many aspects of life. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his beautiful garden, which brought color and life to his home. Emelio was also an active member of the Most Precious Blood Church, where he contributed his melodious voice to the choir. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing, a pastime he enjoyed with friends and family alike.

Emelio's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched with his loving, kind, and handy nature. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his unwavering support, his infectious laughter, and his ability to bring people together. Emelio's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who carry on his legacy.
