Elizabeth Ann McKeen "Betty" (Cullen) of Milton and Harwichport. Age 91 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and love on January 10, 2026. Predeceased by her devoted husband William in 2001.
Born and raised in North Quincy. Sister of the late Frederick P. (Jr.), Bernard and Edward (Cullen) and Agnes M. McCloskey. Betty married Bill in 1956 raising 9 children all while starting a successful family auto repair business in Mattapan. Betty enjoyed spending summers on Cape Cod where many lifelong friends were made chatting over tea, reading books, sitting at the beach, watching movies and attending plays at the Dennis Playhouse Theater. Spending time with family and grandchildren watching the sun set over Rock Harbor in Orleans was one of her most favorite past-times.
Loving mother to Paul and his fiancé Janet, Mark and his wife Tish, David and his wife Leslie, Steven and his wife Beth, Elizabeth Bonnell and her husband John, Ward and his wife Andrea, Christopher and his wife Christie, Karen McKeen and her wife Allison Tilly, Gwen Labbe and her husband James.
Betty adored her 26 grandchildren and 12 great‑grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and laughter. They affectionately referred to her as “Nana Betty”, “Nana” and “Nana the Great.”
Betty also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A cherished tradition was gathering for their frequent “cousins” luncheons.
Relatives and friends invited to celebrate Betty’s life on Thursday evening, January 15th from 5-8 PM at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak Street, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, January 16th at 10:30 at St. Pius X Parish, 101 Wolcott Rd, Milton, MA. Interment at Milton Cemetery, relatives and friends invited.
