It is with profound love and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Dolores M. (Ferrande) Campia on February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Dolores, a beacon of kindness and joy, was born on January 4, 1933, in Boston, MA, and lived a life that was as vibrant and graceful as a dance she so adored.

Dolores was the heart and soul of her family, the devoted wife of the late Robert "Bob" Campia, whom she married on November 6, 1954, at Most Precious Blood Church. Their love story, beginning as high school sweethearts at Hyde Park High, was one for the ages, and their bond remained unbroken until Bob's passing in 2000. Together, they built a family founded on love, laughter, and the art of dance. She was the beloved mother of Darlene Turner and her husband Robert, treasuring her time both in Easton and West Harwich, as she watched her family flourish.

Dolores was a cherished sister, saying goodbye to her brother Armand Ferrande but always holding close his wife Priscilla of Rockland. She was a beloved sister-in-law to Edward "Ed" Campia and Michele Amato of Roslindale, sharing countless memories that spanned decades. Her legacy continued through her role as "Nana" to her adoring grandchildren, Danielle Turner, Robert Turner and his wife Austyn, and Alicia Deck and her husband Robert. Her joy multiplied as she became a great-grandmother to Gianna, Daniel, RJ, Addison, Ryder, Ryan, and Sloan, each of whom brought a sparkle to her eye and a dance to her step.

Dolores's life was one of perpetual motion, as she touched the lives of many through her work as a self-employed dance instructor. For over 20 years, she shared her passion for dance with students ranging from the tender age of three to young adults. Her studios in Hyde Park, Dedham, and Franklin were not just places to learn steps and routines; they were havens where confidence was built, and friendships were forged.

Even in her retirement, Dolores never stopped dancing. She took tap dancing classes at her senior center, inspiring others with her enduring vivacity. Her interests extended beyond the dance floor as she was an avid gardener, cultivating both flowers and vegetables that turned her garden into a canvas of natural beauty. Summers found her in Dennisport, at her cottage in Cape Cod, where the ocean's rhythm complemented her own.

Dolores's kindness was mirrored in the simple pleasures she enjoyed. Playing cards, going for walks, and spending time with her family were the threads that wove the fabric of her daily life. Her presence was a warm and welcoming embrace to all who knew her, and her friendly demeanor made her a cherished member of her community.

Words like loving, kind, and friendly only begin to scratch the surface of describing Dolores. Her life was a testament to the power of positivity, and her influence will continue to ripple through the lives of those she touched. Dolores's dance through life was one of grace, love, and a joy that will echo in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

As we bid farewell to Dolores, we celebrate a life fully lived and a legacy of love that will be treasured across generations. Her spirit, as light and uplifting as a dancer's leap, will remain with us always, guiding us with the memory of her unwavering warmth and the melody of her life's dance.
