Diane L. (Simpson) Concilio

Diane L. Concilio (Simpson) of Hyde Park passed peacefully on June 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 63.  Beloved wife of Thomas Concilio Jr. of 42 years.  Loving daughter of Carol Bonanno of Westwood and the late Robert Simpson and her stepfather Lawrence Clark.  Devoted mother of Alison Concilio and her husband Corey Mitchell of Attleboro, Courtney Concilio and her partner Eric Benson of Sharon, Thomas Concilio III and his wife Lohainne of Hyde Park, Tracey Concilio and her fiance Christian De La Cruz of Taunton, and Alexis Concilio of Taunton.  Loving "Nana" of Jason, Anthony, Nathaniel, Jasmyn, Troy, Myles, Everly, Thomas IV, Daniella, and Diana.  Cherished sister of Tracey Latham, Leo Simpson, Maria Schafer, Lawrence Clark Jr., Denise Simpson, and Douglas Simpson.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, and close friends. 

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (6/30) evening from 4-8 PM at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park.  A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (7/1) morning at 11:00 at Episcopal Church of Our Saviour (25 Monmouth Street Brookline ) relatives and friends invited.  Interment will be private at families request.

If you had the privilege of knowing Diane, you know that her love knew no limits. She was outspoken, fiercely protective, competitive and had the biggest heart. If any one of us needed her, no matter the distance or the hour, she would have been in the car without a second thought. She was our real-life Wonder Woman, proudly wearing a Wonder Woman tattoo that perfectly reflected the strength, courage, and unconditional love she carried every day.

In high school Diane met the love of her life, her husband Tom, and together they built a lifelong partnership grounded in devotion, loyalty, and deep love. They were married for 42 years and raised five children together, creating a family rooted in strength, humor, and unconditional love.

A loving Daughter, Sister, Mother of five children, amazing Nana to ten grandkids and genuine friend.  Her absence leaves a silence that feels impossible to fill because Diane's presence was larger than life.

Diane loved shopping,  books, riding her motorcycle and family trips to the beach, and if she had her way, you'd always find her asking to sit by the last bathhouse at Nantasket Beach, where she could relax, soak in the ocean air, and enjoy the people around her.

Whether she was driving around town picking up neighborhood kids to coach their sports teams or calling out to her family from somewhere in the house with the unmistakable voice of a true Italian mother, you always knew where she was. Her voice wasn't just heard—it was felt. It brought comfort, laughter, guidance, and, at times, the urgency that only a mother's voice could carry 

Some of our most cherished memories were the yearly family camping trips every summer, where she created traditions that brought us together year after year. Even in the middle of winter, Diane found joy in the simple moments, gathering around the fire pit in her shorts while snow blanketed the ground.

She treasured time with the people she loved and made every season feel special.  She loved deeply, gave endlessly, and made everyone around her feel like family.

Though her voice is now quiet, the love, strength, and memories she gave us will echo in our hearts forever. Her missing presence is immeasurable, but the legacy of her love will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
