Concetta (Tenaglia) Rogazzo, known affectionately as Tina to her friends and family, left this world on June 27, 2024, in Norton, MA. Born in the picturesque town of Orsogna, Italy, on December 17, 1929, Tina’s journey of 94 years was marked by love, devotion, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.
Tina’s story began in Italy, but her adventurous spirit brought her to the United States in June of 1948, where she would go on to meet the love of her life, Raymond P. Rogazzo, while working at a sewing factory in the early 1950s. Their love blossomed into a marriage that spanned 68 years, beginning on April 26, 1953, and filled with shared moments and cherished memories until Raymond's passing. Tina’s legacy as a devoted mother is carried on through her children, Marie Guilfoy and her husband Jack of Bourne, Raymond Rogazzo and his wife Maureen of Mansfield, and Cindy Murphy and her husband George of North Attleboro.
The familial bonds Tina nurtured were further strengthened by her role as a cherished sister to the late Anna Camille Antonelli and Domenic Tenaglia. However, it was perhaps her role as “Grammie” that she held most dear. Her grandchildren, John, Brian, Steven, Justine, Billy, Meredith, Michael, Rachel, and Kristina, as well as her 12 great-grandchildren, will fondly remember her loving embrace and the warmth she brought to their lives.
Tina was a woman of many talents. For decades, she worked as a housekeeper. A testament to her strong work ethic. Her home was a haven of comfort and delicious aromas, as Tina was a phenomenal cook. Her Italian dishes were legendary, and her ability to transform simple ingredients into feasts for the senses brought joy to all who had the privilege of sitting at her table.
Her interests were a reflection of her loving and kind nature. Tina found solace in the rhythmic movements of her crochet needles, creating beautiful pieces that were as much a part of her as her spirited laughter. She cherished the times spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, imparting wisdom and creating memories that would outlive her. Tina's winters were spent basking in the Florida sun at Port Charlotte, but no matter where she was, her heart remained with her family.
Holidays and family dinners were Tina’s domain, and her home was always alive with the chatter of loved ones and the comforting smell of tomato sauce simmering on the stove. These gatherings were the embodiment of Tina's spirit, a spirit characterized by a deep love for her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.
Tina’s life was a tapestry woven through with threads of love, resilience, and joy. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and the importance of family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved family, including her numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends, all of whom were blessed to know her.
As we bid farewell to Concetta (Tenaglia) Rogazzo, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved. Her journey may have come to a peaceful end, but the impact of her love and the memories she created will continue to resonate with all who had the fortune to cross her path. Tina’s spirit, loving and kind, will forever be the beacon that guides her family through the tapestry of their own lives.
