Benita O. Baker

Benita O. Baker of South Boston passed peacefully on May 4 at the age of 57.  Daughter of Hilda Baker Larose and Jean Larose and the late Larry Baker.  Mother of Richard Lamont of Florida, Patrick Straw of Boston, TiKi and Samuel.    Sister of Larry Baker, Jr. and his wife of Taunton, Darryl Baker and his wife Michelle of South Boston, Mike Baker and his wife Gemny of Roslindale.  Loving grandmother of 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.  Also survived by her special friend Richard Grice and many loving nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle and friends.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday, May 11 from 4-6 PM at the Carroll Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak Street, Hyde Park.  Relatives and friends invited.  Interment will be private at family request. 

Benita's journey began in Boston, MA where she attended several public schools in the Boston area.  After her graduation she worked many jobs which she enjoyed.  They were Marshalls, Regoe Donut and Chez-Vous skating rink  She cherished her role as a devoted daughter, caring sister to her 3 brothers.  Benita had a passion talking and chatting with her cousin Sharon which she called her sister.  She enjoyed riding her bike, shopping and cooking her favorite dishes.  She also had a photographic memory for folks birth dates, etc.  She will solely be missed in so many ways.  Eternal Love Forever!  Mom
