Anthony D. Bright, known affectionately to friends and family as Tony, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 19, 1943, in Boston, MA, Tony's life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, his kind-hearted nature, and his friendly demeanor that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Tony was the beloved husband of Valerie (Hawley) Bright. He was a devoted father to Anthony "AJ" Bright and his wife Sue Ann of East Bridgewater, Jo-Anne "JoJo" Bright of Mississippi, Susan Bright of Hyde Park, and Matthew Bright and his wife Amy of Weymouth. His role as "Pops" or "Grand Pa" to his grandchildren Bella, Alexis, Trey, and Ava was one he cherished deeply, and his love for them was evident in every smile and embrace.

Tony's siblings held a special place in his heart, especially his cherished brother Michael Bright and his wife Patti of California. Though he was preceded in death by three siblings, Tony's memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his many loving stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and close friends who survive him.

After graduating high school, Tony became the proud owner of "The Store," a local establishment he operated for many years. His dedication to his work and the connections he made within the community were a testament to his commitment to service and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Tony's interests were as warm and engaging as his personality. He had a passion for playing cards, any type of cards, and his love for the game was only matched by his enjoyment of spending time with his family. He was also an avid karate enthusiast, a hobby that kept him active and taught him discipline and respect—values he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Holidays and free time were sacred to Tony; these were the moments he lived for, surrounded by the laughter and stories of his loved ones. His home was a hub of warmth and joy, where every occasion was celebrated with open arms and a generous heart.

Those who knew Tony would describe him as loving, kind, and friendly—a man who could light up a room with his smile and whose presence was a comfort to those around him. He lived his life with an open heart, always ready to extend a helping hand or a listening ear.

As we say goodbye to Anthony D. Bright, we remember a life lived to the fullest, marked by the love he gave and the love he received. Tony's memory will be treasured forever as a guiding light of love, kindness, and friendship. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Though Tony has left this world, his spirit remains a beacon of joy and love in the lives of his family and friends. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the impact one person can have through simple acts of kindness and unwavering affection. Tony's story is one of love, a narrative that will continue to be told in the hearts of those he touched.
