Anne Marie (Del Conte) Tieso

Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home 22 Oak Street Hyde Park Wednesday (6/24) morning at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Pius X Church Milton at 10:30 AM.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home.  Interment at Mt Hope Cemetery in Roslindale, relatives and friends invited. 

Anne Marie (Del Conte) Tieso, known lovingly to family and friends as Anne Marie, of Readville, passed peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 76. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 14, 1950, she lived a life marked by devotion, warmth, and a deep love for the people around her. She was kind, loving, and friendly, and those qualities were evident in every part of her life.

Anne Marie was the beloved wife of Ben A. Tieso Jr., with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage after being married in 1972. Together, they built a life centered on family, companionship, and shared traditions that brought joy to everyone they loved. She was a devoted mother to Jennifer Heller of Plainville and Ben J. Tieso of Arizona, and she embraced her role as a mother with unwavering love and support. She was also the loving mother-in-law of Jacqueline Tieso and the cherished “Grammie” of May Elizabeth Tieso, a title she held with great pride and affection. Her granddaughter was a bright light in her life, and Anne Marie treasured every opportunity to attend May’s school events and chorus performances. She was the cherished sister of John Del Conte, Michael Del Conte, and Susan Del Conte, and she is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss her dearly.

Anne Marie graduated from Hyde Park High School and carried the values of hard work, responsibility, and care throughout her life. She worked at Curry College in the Finance Department as a payroll clerk and also served as a clerk for Norfolk County. In each role, she was known for her reliability, her steady presence, and the respectful way she treated others. Her work ethic reflected the same thoughtful spirit that she brought to her family and her friendships, and she was appreciated by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Outside of work, Anne Marie found joy in the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. She loved puzzles and could spend hours enjoying the challenge and satisfaction they brought. Gardening was another of her favorite pastimes, and she took delight in nurturing plants and watching them grow. She also loved reading, finding comfort and enjoyment in a good book. Cooking was one of her greatest expressions of love, and she was always feeding people, making sure no one ever left her home hungry. She especially enjoyed hosting dessert after the holidays, continuing the gathering long after the main meal had ended and creating memories that her family will always treasure.

Anne Marie and her husband Ben shared many special routines together, including going to Plainridge once a month to play Video Poker. These outings were part of the life they built together, filled with companionship, laughter, and shared enjoyment. She loved her family deeply and took great pride in the moments they shared, whether around the table, at a family celebration, or simply spending time together at home. Her presence brought comfort and joy, and her home was often a place where others felt welcomed, cared for, and nourished in every sense of the word.

Anne Marie will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the kindness she showed so naturally, and the friendly spirit that made others feel at ease. She had a gentle way of making people feel valued, and her family and friends will forever hold close the many memories of her warmth, her generosity, and her devotion. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love for family, loyalty to those she cared about, and the quiet strength that comes from a life well lived.

Though her passing leaves a deep void, Anne Marie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family will remember her with gratitude for the many ways she enriched their lives, and her friends will remember her for her kindness and her welcoming nature. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
