Angelo Goffredo, of West Roxbury, formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Monday December 6, 2021 at the age of 92. The son of Giuseppe and Louise Goffredo. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Ida and daughter, Elaine Goffredo. He was survived by his devoted children Jerome Goffredo of West Roxbury, Joanne Deleconio of Dedham, Karen Goffredo of Hyde Park, Joseph Goffredo and his wife Lorry of Dedham and Donna English and her husband Paul of Walpole.
Angelo was the cherished grandfather of twelve grandchildren; Tara, Jennifer, Jessica, Carol, Nicolas,Amanda, Angela, Leah, Joseph, Shannon, Sophia, and Jack. Angelo was the brother of Jean Farina, and the late Alice Roberts, Ann Antonelli, Mary Boswell, Anthony Goffredo and Mathew Goffredo. He was survived by many nieces and nephews. Angelo and his late wife Ida were happily married for 69 loving years. He devoted his life to taking care of his family. He served in the Korean War as a cook for the Army. He enjoyed summers in Hull and later Winters in Florida. He enjoyed playing numbers, going to the casino and race track. He was an expert in picking Italian and gold horses.
Angelo was a man of great faith and loved his grandchildren dearly. He loved keeping family traditions alive and was best known for his renown meatballs. He will live forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association. Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak Street, Hyde Park Monday morning at 9:30 followed by
a Funeral Mass at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot Street, Newton at 10:30. Visiting Hours Sunday afternoon from 3-6 at the funeral home.
Internment at St Michaels Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
