Andrew emigrated from Italy as a young boy and moved to the North End. He attended Boston English High School and then volunteered to serve in the Marine Corps where he participated in 4 invasions in the Pacific Theatre — Task Force 58, Battle of Guam, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. His recollection of his service can be seen on YouTube —  "Memoirs of WW2 Episode 36." He worked for years in the family's food distribution business and eventually opened up APCO DIST. INC with his son Daniel. He loved working around the yard and planted many flowers which he loved. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His whole world evolved around the love of his life, his wife Helen who he was married to for 74 years. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, toughness, but also a man who believed in loyalty and respect. He is now with the Lord and family and reunited with his beloved son Andrew Puopolo Jr.

Please in lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church 61 Rockwood Street Jamaica Plain 02130
